Resolving Immigration ProblemsIn An Honest & Responsible Manner

Frequent immigrantion raids expected in 2016

It was recently reported that frequent immigrantion raids are expected across the United States, including California, in 2016. In fact, this is something that has already started in some states. The individuals that are being targeted in these immigrantion raids are those from Central America who crossed the border seeking asylum; however, other immigrants are worried that they, too, will be affected.

The current administration has ordered these raids in an effort to combat the number of undocumented immigrants who have entered the country in the past few years. This is a move that is not without controversy. Several immigrants are already filing complaints about being affected by the raids, even though they do not fit the search criteria.

Of the complaints filed, some individuals allege that authorities are entering their homes without signed warrants. Undocumented or not, immigrants do have the right to refuse a search if the proper documentation is not presented. If  searches are performed anyway, this is a violation of their rights.

immigrantion will always be a hot topic subject. While there are proper channels to go through in order to gain necessary documentation to remain in the country, those who are undocumented and already in the country, whether in California or elsewhere, do have certain rights that need to be protected. An immigrantion attorney can help those seeking to obtain asylum, visas or residence status. While the process can take time and issues may arise along the way, with legal representation on one’s side, one’s rights can be safeguarded and working through the immigrantion system can be a little easier to handle.
