The help of an attorney when filing for citizenship

Gaining United States citizenship is easier said than done. Even if you have a good idea of what this entails, you also realize there are many challenges standing in your way.

So, this leads to a very important question: Are you required to hire an immigration attorney to file for citizenship?

In short, the answer is no. There is no legal requirement for you to work with an attorney. However, it may be a good idea to bring a professional into the fold, as this goes a long way in helping you make your way through the process in a timely and efficient manner.

Some of the many other benefits of working with an attorney include:

  • No concerns regarding a language barrier
  • An attorney knows exactly what type of documentation is needed
  • An attorney has the experience and knowledge necessary to help you complete an application without making any mistakes

It can be difficult to move through the process of gaining United States citizenship, but an attorney can stand by your side every step of the way.

At our law firm, we take great pride in helping people with all aspects of the application process. When everything is said and done, we ensure that our clients understand exactly what is going on and the steps they need to take next.

If you are thinking about applying for United States citizenship, don’t hesitate to learn more about the process. Also, make an early decision as to whether or not working with an attorney will put you in better position to succeed.
